The government priority program, as outlined in Presidential Regulation Number 12 of 2025 concerning the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) for 2025-2029, specifically focuses on efforts to achieve self-sufficiency in food, energy, and water, while also ensuring environmental preservation within the scope of the blue economy.

- Preparing recommendations for science and technology-based development policies in the maritime sector.
- Organizing scientific meetings in the form of seminars, symposiums, panel discussions, workshops, podcasts, conferences, etc.
- Dissemination and publication of activity results in the form of articles, papers, scientific journals, proceedings, books, and other media with national and international reputations.
- Strengthening human resource capacity, specifically in the maritime sector, in the form of outreach, advocacy, training, and empowerment.
- Implementation of field activities such as mangrove planting projects, coral reefs, agro-maritime cultivation, including silvofishery, mariculture, and ecotourism.
- Rehabilitation and restoration activities for other ecosystems, particularly in coastal, marine, and ocean areas.
